Cirque du Soleil is back on the Quays of the Old Port of Montréal with TOTEM, exploring the fascinating subject of human evolution, its myths and legends. Following his first collaboration with the Cirque for KÀ, Robert Lepage has designed and directed another awe-inspiring show!

Add the innumerable and extraordinary Cirque du Soleil artists and designers, and you have all the necessary ingredients for TOTEM, the touring show presented under the Grand Chapiteau on the Jacques-Cartier Quay.

An urban beach with a capacity of up to 800 people will open next year in Old Montréal! The beach has been designed for the length and tip of the Clock Tower Pier, along the banks of the St. Lawrence. Bordered by a boardwalk, it will feature lounge chairs and beach umbrellas. Since currents are too strong at this location, swimming will not be allowed, but there will be water games. This exciting Montréal project was inspired by Paris Plage, created ten years ago in the City of Light, and the Old Port of Montréal Corporation’s desire to boost recreational tourist appeal.

These future changes in the landscape are sure to delight clients of our establishments in Old Montréal, who will be able to enjoy them and sink their feet into the sand as early as summer 2012!
